1942. Harry Stuart, Ellen O’Hara. Harry was in the Cameronians who were billeted in and around the town. He was later invalided back from Caen after taking a mortar injury to the foot. Harry & Ellen were stewards of the Conservative Club in its old premises, moving to Churchill House (North Street) when the new club opened
